"Body Mass Index (BMI) is a person's weight in kilograms divided by the square of height in meters. A high BMI can be an indicator of high body fatness. BMI can be used to screen for weight categories that may lead to health problems but it is not diagnostic of the body fatness or health of an individual."

BMI has it's place as it is an easy, quick way to assess an average person's ht in relation to their wt. However, it does not take into account muscle mass and for many athletes this data is skewed. Lebron James would be considered Overweight according to the scale and he is one of the greatest athletes on Earth.
